Summer Theme Day - In one week!!

We are having Summer Theme Day on August 1st this year.
We are going to have it outside.
I know - what was I thinking right? I am so excited, I think my parents will be thrilled and so will their kiddos for sure.
We have a terrific property to capture the perfect back to school look.

We need 25 RSVP's minimum to hold Summer Theme Day 2009 on our books

From Scotland to Wyoming

(online gallery to come) How much fun was this? I have to admit I had nightmares about wearing jeans to photograph a wedding. Even though I was asked to wear them, I was sure I was going to show up and find the bride and groom in formals. But thank fully that wasn't the case. Alicia was perfect. She was calm, collected & casual in her pressed white cotton corset that looked elegant with her jeans. Accented perfectly with her bouquet. I am thrilled that I had the chance to work with Alicia & Paul. Alicia was the maid of honor in a wedding I had previously photographed. It was such a compliment that her mother called and booked me long ago, no questions asked, because "Alicia had asked that it be Nicole with Contemporary Photography and no one else." ahhh goosebumps... Soo, they were married on July 4th in Scotland. A whirlwind week later they had their heartfelt and tearful blessing ceremony in the states in the beautiful countryside of Wyoming. With half of the guests being from Scotland they wanted to show them the slow down-home side of life on a portion of her families 500+ acres. Complete with hayrides and carriage service by S Ventures the day was perfect. I had so much fun!! Thank you Alicia & Paul! (Special Thanks to my Rockstar Photographer Trooper)

Summer Theme Day 2009 Whew Whewwwt!!

Hello Everyone!! We have had many requests sooo...
we have decided to bring back
SUMMER THEME DAY!!

Not only are we bringing it back, we are going to do something unprecedented:
we are going to have it outdoors!!

We would like to offer Summer Theme Day in combination with Back To School in the great outdoors right at our studio. We are on an incredible property and will have your kiddos along with the spectacular scenery for your images.
Now we know that Colorado is a little unpredictable but we are going to go out on a limb and say "Rain or Shine" we will stay outside.

Saturday August 1 st

Wow!! Is it a lot of work to get a new site up and running! I hope you are all enjoying the new look of both the site and the BLOG. I am excited about the changes. Three Generations

I just love this stuff! Nana was in town and Family pics were on the list of things to do along with sights to see. When your family is in the same place at the same time plan for a Family Portrait. Photographs are the heirlooms that tell you who you are and where you came from. Some of life's most amazing memories stay in the forefront of your minds with the simplest of images.

I had the privilege of photographing the birth of
Soren James Clausen yesterday.
Happy Birthday Soren!
He was born at 8:11 am and weighs in at just over 8 pounds. He is the third child to his proud Mom & Dad. I have had the honor of capturing each of their children's first moments of life. It is so incredible to be a part of that. Allowing Mom & Dad the ability to enjoy every moment, unaware of my presence, so that they don't have to think about the photography themselves.
They receive a photojournalistic look into the birth of their child that they can watch later and cherish for a lifetime.
Life is measured by numerous special dates and milestones
The birth of your children is no less important than the day of your wedding.

Spring Theme Day was A HIT!!

Thank you to everyone who made the trek & safely arrived to Spring Theme Day this year!! The snow almost kept it from happening but the roads cleared and almost everyone made it. We did miss seeing the children and parents that were unable to make it.

Thank you for once again making Spring Theme Day a success! We had so much fun. I just love seeing everyone and the time I get to spend with the kiddos as they grow up. Oh my goodness they have all grown so much! Many of my Mommys are expecting, congratulations!
I also want to welcome the new "Theme Dayers". I hope you enjoyed it. I look forward to seeing your kiddos as they grow!

One week to go, we are super excited. We are still working on our set.
It will be new and different and FUN!!

We are almost full for the 4th. With NEWLY extended hours we are able to take more reservations.

Oh I am so thrilled to announce that we will have Lambs for the first time this year at Spring Theme Day!

2009 Spring Theme Day Announced

We are so excited for Spring Theme Day! We are booking up! We ask that you RSVP so that we may plan for any additional dates if needed. Currently we are filling up April 4th from 10am to 3pm and add additional time according to RSVP's.
Walk in's are still welcome - RSVP's with appointments will be taken before
